Craft Beer Maker Offers Paw-ternity Leave for Employees

It’s safe to say that a company whose name is “BrewDog” is pretty dog friendly. The Scottish company, founded by dog lovers Martin Dickie and James Watt along with their dog Bracken, already knows the benefit of allowing dogs in the workplace. At any given time there can be 50 or more pups roaming around their headquarters in Aberdeen. But now this progressive group has taken employee perks to a new level of pawsome by offering Puppy Parental Leave.

Yes, having dogs in our offices makes everyone else more chilled and relaxed – but we know only too well that having a new arrival – whether a mewling pup or unsettled rescue dog – can be stressful for human and hound both. So we are becoming the first in our industry to give our staff a working week’s leave on us to help settle a new furry family member into their home.

This amazing benefit is available to all BrewDog employees including BrewDog Columbus in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, BrewDog is a Living Wage employer offering sabbaticals for employees and 10% annual profit-sharing along with enhanced maternity/paternity pay for human arrivals!
